NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University students gathered Wednesday night at Seven Oaks Stage for the Demons Come Out at Night Pep Rally, an annual tradition leading into the first home football game of the season.
The 8 p.m. rally featured head football coach Blaine McCorkle and members of the Demon football team, performances by NSU spirit groups and the Spirit of Northwestern Marching Band, and an appearance by Vic the Demon. The event was free and open to students and members of the community.
The rally also featured a performance by electronic duo 3OH!3, known for songs including “My First Kiss” featuring Kesha and “Starstrukk” featuring Katy Perry.
The Demons will open the 2026 football season against Louisiana Christian University at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, in Turpin Stadium.
Demons Come Out at Night was sponsored by the Office of First Year Experience and Student Activities Board. The pep rally was part of Demon Days, a series of events held during the opening weeks of the fall semester.
