NATCHITOCHES – The Office of Career Services at Northwestern State University will host its Fall 2026 Career Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Friedman Student Union Ballroom.

The event is open to both undergraduate and graduate students at NSU who would like to meet and connect with prospective employers. Professional attire is required to attend. Director of Career Services Tiffany Killion said networking with employers from multiple industries can increase the chances of finding an internship or job after graduation. Nearly 40 business and graduate/professional programs plan to attend.

Leading into the Career Fair, students can participate in three events on Sept. 22-24 to get them ready to speak with prospective employers.

Employers planning to attend include Acadian Ambulance, Boise Cascade, BOM Bank, Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, Charter Schools USA, CHRISTUS Health, City of Alexandria, City of Baton Rouge/Parish of East Baton Rouge, City of Natchitoches Fire Department, Crest Industries, Electric Power Systems, Jefferson Parish Sherriff’s Office, Louisiana Department of Health-Sanitarian Services, Louisiana Department of State Civil Service and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.

Other scheduled participants include Louisiana Economic Development, Louisiana Legislative Auditor, Louisiana State Police, Louisiana Workforce Commission, Natchitoches Army Recruiting, Natchitoches Regional Medical Center, Parish of Caddo, Pinecrest Supports and Services Center, RoyOMartin, St. Mary’s Residential Community and Services, System Services Broadband, The Center for Children and Families, Title IV-E Child Welfare Scholar Program at NSU, Willis-Knighton Health System and Woodmen Life.

Graduate and professional schools planning to attend are the E.J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University, the LSU Law Center, the Mississippi Christian University School of Law, NSU’s Gallaspy College of Education and Human Development,
the Southern University Law Center, the Stephen F. Austin State University Graduate School, The Chicago School and the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.

Prep Week begins with walk in resume reviews will be on Tuesday, Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. – 3 pm. in Room 122 of the Student Union. In person mock interviews will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. – 3 pm. in Room 122 of the Student Union. Students will pre-register for 15-minute slots via Handshake, and partake in a mock interview with employers, faculty, and staff to help prepare them for the upcoming Career Fair and employment interviews.
