NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University recognized several individuals for years of service to the school during the annual Fall Faculty Institute Aug. 10. The Faculty Institute marks the beginning of on-call week for faculty, a week of networking and professional development and an opportunity to honor faculty and staff for service to the university.
Recognized for 25 years at NSU were Charlotte Grayson, Rafiqul Islam, Leslie Gruesbeck, Daphne Delphin, Frances Welch, Kent Hare, Tammy Curtis, Becky Farmer, Alan Pasch, Melissa Aldredge, Ahmad Darvish and Alexei Muravitsky.

Dr. Hiram “Pete” Gregory, NSU’s longest-serving employee, was recognized for 65 years of service to NSU.
Dr. Hiram “Pete” Gregory got a standing ovation when he was recognized for 65 years of service to NSU. Dr. Gregory began teaching at NSU in 1961 and is believed to be NSU’s longest-serving employee.
Faculty institute also included the introduction of nearly 40 new faculty members and additions to the NSU staff.
