NSU seeks nominations for CAPA Hall of Fame

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Mrs. H.D. Dear Sr. and Alice E. Dear School of Creative and Performing Arts is seeking nominations for the 2026-2027 CAPA Hall of Fame.  The CAPA Hall of Fame was established in 2016 to honor individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to their field and/or CAPA.  The Hall of Fame currently has 26 Inductees who represent the four departments in CAPA: Music, Theatre and Dance, Fine and Graphic Arts and New Media, Journalism and Communications Arts.

Nominees must have earned an undergraduate, graduate or honorary degree from the School of Creative and Performing Arts at least 20 years ago or have made significant contributions to their field and the School of Creative and Performing Arts.  Nominees may be living or deceased. Letters of nomination must include information on the nominee’s contributions to his or her field and/or to CAPA and additional information that supports the nomination.

The deadline for nominations is May 1, 2026.
