NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic Learning and Global Education will offer a Stitch & Quilt-Quilted Tote Workshop on June 9 and 11 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Room 106 of South Hall on NSU’s Natchitoches campus.
Limited seats are available and those who enroll must be at least 14. The fee is $65 plus a $25 material fee paid directly to the instructor on the first night of class.
In this two-part sewing series, participants will learn beginner-friendly quilting techniques and practical bag-making skills to create a quilted tote bag from start to finish. Over the two sessions, students will practice sewing machine fundamentals, basic quilting techniques and basic bag construction methods in a relaxed and supportive environment. All materials are provided, including sewing machines, fabric and supplies. This workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced sewists looking for their next fun, creative project.
