NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Department of Social Work and Natchitoches Regional Medical Center will present a Lunch and Learn titled “Planning for the Unexpected: The Conversation We Avoid – But Shouldn’t,” starting at noon on Friday, March 27 in the NRMC Listach Conference Room. Individuals can also attend virtually via Webex.
Members of the community, helping professionals and students are invited to attend the program, which will be led by NSU Social Work faculty Kirby S. Peddy, MSW, LCSW-BACS; Jennifer Shaw, PhD, PLPC; Lisa Mount, MSW, LCSW-BACS, and Byron McKinney, MSW, LCSW-BACS. The ethics-focused session will address helping social workers and professional counselors prepare their practices for death, disability or sudden closure while protecting clients and confidentiality.
Individuals are encouraged to bring their lunch to the session, which qualifies for one free hour of continuing education with the completion of an evaluation.
