Campus events and activities for Oct. 19-25

Natchitoches Jr. High students Aretha Potter, Zariah Pearrie, Janiah Heard, Lyric Thomas, Mariah Robinson, Harmony Remo, Ja’Kiera Humphrey and Jenissy Robinson participated in the “Factory Physics Challenge” during NSU’s Engineering Technology Symposium Oct. 17. The all-female team of sixth and seventh graders won the competition for being the first to successfully design a gravity-powered factory line that delivered a marble into a cup using pipe insulation, tape and binder clips.

Friends All United for Natchitoches Animals presented a $22,500 donation to the NSU Foundation to support the FAUNA Vet Tech Endowed Scholarship. The presentation concluded a public lecture at NSU that highlighted the connection between animal cruelty and violent crimes.
