What is the IncludED textbook program?
IncludED is a partnership between NSU and the NSU Campus Store that allows you to rent or purchase textbooks at a reduced cost. The charge is posted directly to your MyNSU Tuition and Fees bill and can be paid along with your University charges or using financial aid.
What is the benefit of participating in the program?
The goals of this program are to improve textbook affordability, and to improve your success in class. Participating in this program will bring deeply discounted prices on your textbooks, the required course materials, and the ability to access your textbooks on or before the first day of class.
Studies show students who don’t have their required course materials on the first day of class may be at a disadvantage. We want all Demons playing on the same field, so we’re offering more affordable digital materials you can access immediately.
How do I access my materials?
If a student is registered in a participating course, they are automatically enrolled in the program for that course unless they choose to opt out, as applicable. Required digital materials will appear in the LMS, and physical materials (if applicable) will be prepared for pickup at the campus store.
Students will receive access instructions via their school email, including:
- Important Information Regarding your Course Materials for the Upcoming Term | Faculty & Students
- Welcome to [Program Name] | Students
- Your Order is Ready for Pick-Up | Students with physical materials
Always refer to your school emails and campus store communications for specifics.
How do I know if my books are provided by IncludED?
If your course is participating in the IncludED program, you will receive an introductory email from the IncludED department. You will also receive emails from either NSU Campus Store, Brytewave, or Kortext, depending on how your course material is set to be delivered.
What will the charge look like on my MyNSU bill?
A charge will appear on your MyNSU bill for the NSU Campus Store – IncludED. The charge will appear under the description of your bill. You can pay through the MyNSU portal, or Student Accounting website, or allow it to be covered by your financial aid when it disperses.
What happens if I drop a course?
If you drop a course before the end of the University drop/add period, your charge will be removed and your access to the course materials will be revoked. If you drop or withdraw after the initial drop/add period, the student is responsible for ALL fees associated with the dropped course.
If you had a physical book and you picked up the book – you need to return it back to the bookstore by the add/drop period to avoid being charged for the materials.
Who do I contact if I have questions about IncludED?
