Choosing NSU’s School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) means joining a community built to prepare you for tomorrow’s most in-demand careers. Our programs combine rigorous academics, hands-on learning, and supportive faculty mentorship to help you succeed in college, graduate school, and the workforce.
The School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) at NSU brings together five dynamic academic units under one interdisciplinary umbrella:
The ARGO (Advanced Remote and Geospatial Operations) program, housed within NSU’s School of STEM, empowers students and faculty with tools and methods at the cutting edge of spatial data and aerial imaging. Participants engage hands-on with drone-based aerial photography, advanced image processing, 3D modeling, and geospatial data analysis, while also obtaining FAA Part 107 certification.
As part of a STEM environment, ARGO bridges technology, data science, and real-world applications—preparing students for careers in mapping, environmental monitoring, surveying, GIS, robotics, and related fields.
A peer-centered academic support initiative offering in-person and virtual help—from homework and concept comprehension to exam preparation—hosted weekly by STEM faculty in the Academic Success Center at Watson Library.
PPSAC guides pre-health students through application readiness—reviewing transcripts, personal statements, facilitating mock interviews, and issuing committee evaluation letters. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements (e.g. GPA, junior status) and submit a formal application.
