NATCHITOCHES – The Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce and local business community have joined together to welcome students back to Northwestern State University through the creation of Demon Deals.  Demon Deals offers discounts and other specials to new and returning students and encourages them to shop and do business in Natchitoches.

“Demon Deals is an evolution of Paint the Town Purple,” said Van Erikson, NSU’s director of Recruiting and interim director of Enrollment Management. “NSU and the business community in Natchitoches have a truly symbiotic relationship that doesn’t always exist in college towns and that relationship is beneficial for everyone in our community.”

“We are thrilled to welcome our Demons back to town! The excitement and momentum that come with the return of our NSU students reenergizes our community’s Purple Pride,” said Chamber President Laura Lyles. “Partnerships such as this encourage the NSU community to shop local and get the most out of what Natchitoches has to offer. We encourage community members to #GoNatchitoches and #GoLocal with #DemonDeals.”

Move-In Days at Northwestern State will be Friday, Aug. 12, and Saturday, Aug. 13 with fall classes starting Monday, Aug. 15.

NSU Ambassadors have been visiting local businesses this week to deliver Demon Deals posters with a QR code.  Business who are interesting in signing up to participate can do so by visiting https://www.natchitocheschamber.com/demondeals where more details are available.
