How to Join
Discover vibrant Greek Life at NSU! Join chapters tied to national organizations under CPC, IFC, or NPHC. Open to students meeting academic and organizational standards, our recruitment events each semester showcase each chapter’s values, history, and community.
Embrace a lifelong, rewarding commitment with exciting opportunities, lasting bonds, and personal growth. NSU’s Office of Greek Life guides you every step of the way — find your perfect fit and start your journey today!
Before joining, it's important to understand what comes with membership. Every chapter has its own values, traditions, and expectations, but all are rooted in scholarship, service, integrity, and community. From time commitments and financial responsibilities to GPA requirements and recruitment processes, Greek Life is designed to enhance—not overwhelm—your college experience.
Recruitment is a mutual selection process—whether formal, informal, or intake. Participating does not obligate students to join, but it’s a great way to learn about the community. New member education lasts no more than eight weeks and includes leadership lessons, service events, academic sessions, and safety training. NSU strictly prohibits hazing in any form.
All chapters require a minimum GPA to join and maintain membership. Many offer tutoring, study sessions, and scholarships to support academic success.
Fraternity and sorority membership comes with dues and fees, which vary by chapter. We encourage families to have open conversations about budgeting and affordability during recruitment.
From academic support and professional development to social connection and service, NSU’s Greek Life offers a well-rounded college experience that lasts long after graduation.
