Group fitness studio with weekly class offerings

To ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all, the WRAC fitness areas follow important guidelines for equipment use and member conduct. Patrons are encouraged to lift responsibly, use spotters when needed, and wear proper athletic attire at all times. Cleanliness is essential—please wipe down equipment after use and keep all food and non-water beverages out of fitness spaces. For safety and organization, equipment must remain in designated areas, and personal belongings should be stored in lockers rather than on the floor. Members are expected to be mindful of others by minimizing distractions, using headphones for personal audio, and maintaining respectful behavior at all times.

Gym Lockers

Locker rooms and showers for convenience

Our locker rooms offer a clean, comfortable space to get ready before or after your workout. Each includes private showers and convenient locker options, making it easy to store your belongings and refresh during your visit to the WRAC.

Core Room at the WRAC

Core Room

The Core Studio is a shared fitness space focused on safety, respect, and proper workout practices. Patrons must use equipment responsibly and are strongly encouraged to use spotters when lifting. Proper athletic attire and closed-toe shoes are required. Clothing must fully cover the torso—no midriff exposure or altered shirts. Sports bras are not permitted as standalone tops. Wipe down equipment after use. Only water in resealable containers is allowed; food and other drinks are prohibited. Keep all equipment in designated areas and store personal items in lockers. No bags are allowed on the floor. Respect others by avoiding disruptive behavior. Headphones are required for personal devices, and photography of others is prohibited without consent.

NSU Outdoor Recreation

Campus wellness goes beyond the weight room. Whether you're playing under the lights in an intramural league, hitting the disc golf course between classes, or traveling with a club sports team, NSU offers plenty of ways to stay active and involved outside the gym. It's competition, community, and campus life—all in one.

Intramural Sports

NSU’s Intramural Sports program offers students the chance to compete in organized leagues and tournaments without the pressure of varsity competition. From flag football and basketball to dodgeball and sand volleyball, there’s something for every skill level. Intramurals are a great way to meet new people, stay active, and enjoy some friendly competition outside the classroom.

Club Sports

Club Sports are student-run organizations that bring together students with a shared interest in athletics. Competing with other colleges and clubs across the region, these teams offer a competitive outlet without the full-time commitment of NCAA sports. Whether you’re continuing your athletic journey or trying something new, Club Sports provide an exciting way to stay involved.

Disc Golf at NSU

NSU is home to its very own disc golf course, offering a fun and laid-back way to get moving outdoors. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, disc golf is a great way to enjoy the beauty of campus while staying active with friends.

Disc Golf equipment is available for check out at rhe WRAC Service Center with your Student ID.

Fun & Fitness Camp
