Welcome to the website for University Affairs, a diverse group of innovative and talented professionals who provide quality facilities, maintenance and management services in support of education and research at Northwestern State University. We are committed to being fully responsive to the needs of faculty, students, staff and the public, who are our customers.

The Executive Director of University Affairs serves as a key administrator in the planning, operation, and management of the University, and as a member of the President’s Cabinet. The Executive Director of University Affairs also has oversight of campus safety and security, with direct supervision over University Police Chief and University Safety and Compliance Director.

The Executive Director of University Affairs oversees capital outlay, construction, maintenance of University buildings and ground leases and contracts, and upkeep of all facilities and grounds, with direct supervision over Physical Plant Director, Plant Services Director, and Support Services Coordinator. The Executive Director oversees campus environmental health and safety, with direct supervision over the EHS Officer.

The Executive Director of University Affairs serves as the Division’s coordinator for the development of RFQs and RFPs, purchasing/bidding processes, and contract negotiations as related to all Auxiliary Services functions. The Executive Director of University Affairs also manages all University contracts in auxiliary enterprises to include, but not limited to, food services, bookstore services, vending, pouring rights, cable television, and privatized housing. The Executive Director also administers, coordinates and supervises the Auxiliary Services exemption processes including committee responsibilities.

The division of University Affairs strive to cooperate with all campus constituents to provide a functional, safe, and efficient facilities operation for the University.
