The Office of University Affairs is comprised of Business Affairs, the Physical Plant, grounds and Custodial Services, Environmental Health and Safety, University Police, ADA Compliance and International Recruiting.
The Executive Vice President for University & Business Affairs serves as chair of the Violence in the Workplace Committee. He also facilitates the sale and lease of all immovable property for the University. The Executive Vice President for University & Business Affairs works closely with department heads in directing university facilities maintenance programs, including renovations and construction programs for all buildings and mechanical systems. He also assists in coordinating all capital outlay funded projects with the University Planning Committee, architects-engineers, contractors, and the Office of State Facility Planning.
The Executive Vice President for University & Business Affairs assures that the beautification of the Grounds is maintained and that the Custodial Services strives to maintain a high-quality of janitorial services for the University in order to enhance student life and learning.
The Executive Vice President for University & Business Affairs ensures that the University meets compliance of hazardous waste management, emergency response planning and occupational health and safety standards. He assures proper maintenance of health and safety records are maintained, and documented results of corrective action are maintained where non-compliance is found.
The division of University Affairs strives to cooperate with all campus constituents to provide a functional, safe and efficient facilities operation for the university. We welcome suggestions and comments from our customers to assist us in the continuous improvement of services.
