The NSU School of Business, which includes the BS in Computer Information Systems, is accredited by AACSB. This accreditation means we are among the top 5% of business programs worldwide – and one of the few undergraduate programs – to have earned AACSB accreditation, a marker of excellence.
The Computer Information Systems area is devoted to ensuring our curriculum helps prepare graduate for careers, graduate studies, and other pursuits after graduation. As such, we feel it is important to connect with both alumni and industry partners to gain their advice on current trends in the workplace as well as their suggestions for improvements to the CIS curriculum and overall program management. The advisory council meets once or twice a year and also provides feedback via electronic means (surveys, e-mail, etc.) If you are interested in serving on the advisory council, please e-mail Mr. Curtis Penrod at penrodc@nsula.edu.

If you are interested in an adjunct position, please send your resume to Mr. Curtis Penrod at penrodc@nsula.edu. Also, make sure to state whether you are interesting in teaching online or at one of our campuses (Alexandria, Leesville, Natchitoches, or Shreveport).
