NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University recognized several employees for years of service during the annual campus-wide luncheon, an annual event that draws the campus community together for announcements, door prizes and meal provided by Sodexo, the university’s campus dining service.
This year’s lunch provided a first look at the newly refreshed Iberville Dining Hall, where a months-long renovation has been underway.
Recognized for 25 years of service were Dr. Dana Clawson, professor in the College of Nursing and School of Allied Health; Renee Downey, assistant professor in the College of Nursing; Sontonia Helaire, library specialist; Dr. Cynthia Lindsey, professor and clinical director in the Department Psychology and Addiction Studies; Dr. Thomas Reynolds, head of the Department of English, Languages and Cultural Studies; Sandra Rufty, library associate; Kristi Salard, administrative coordinator in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Human Resources; Binky Speir, accounting technician; Dr. J. Mark Thompson, professor of music, and Kristi Waters, associate director of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships.
Recognized for 30 years were Melanie Bedgood, coordinator of Non-Credit Activities; Joann Bell, accounts payable supervisor, and Dr. Greg Granger, professor in the School of Social Sciences and Applied Programs.
Recognized for 35. Years were University Registrar Barbara Prescott and Helen Tousek, administrative assistant in the Department of Psychology and Addiction Studies.
Al Velotta, assistant professor in the College of Nursing and School of Allied Health, was recognized for 50 years of service.
