NATCHITOCHES – American Indian crafts people from Louisiana will demonstrate and sell their work at Northwestern State University on Saturday, Dec. 7. The annual American Indian Crafts Day will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Williamson Museum on the second floor of Kyser Hall. Admission is free and open to the public,

A variety of baskets, file’, beadwork, wood carving, drums, buckskin, leatherwork and other authentic crafts will be or sale from members of tribes including the Cherokee, Choctaw Apache, Clifton Choctaw, Coushatta, Houma, Nde Cannechi and others. Artists will also do demonstrations. All proceeds go to the craftspeople.
