Moodle Fundamentals

In this workshop, we will cover the breadth of available options within the LMS and demonstrate the basic tools needed for implementing a Moodle course.

Create different types of questions for variety and interactivity in your exams; Setup your quizzes to be administered easily and efficiently. See how to review the results of your student and manage their participation within quizzes.

Sharing Content in Moodle

In this workshop, we will demonstrate how to link and share videos and files stored in Stream and OneDrive to your Moodle Courses. We will show you how to share content effectively and efficiently.

Managing Your Gradebook

You can set up your gradebook two ways, total points possible or weighted. In this workshop we will cover the benefits and challenges of each. You will also learn how to easily calculate student progress, enter grades, and view overall grades so that you and your students can track progress during the course.

Adobe Acrobat Fundamentals

PDF files are very common, and Adobe Acrobat is the program most commonly used to process these files. In this workshop, you will learn basic navigation, tools, and accessibility features within Adobe Acrobat as well as how to create fillable forms.

Introduction to OneDrive

OneDrive is the cloud storage that connects to your computer and your other office applications. You can share files quickly and co-author files with others. In this workshop, you will see how to access your OneDrive, organize your files, and share files with others. You will see how OneDrive connects to your workflow in Word, PowerPoint and more!

Webex Meetings

Webex is a valuable tool for engaging with online students. In this workshop, you will learn how to open and run your personal room as a one-on-one meeting option as well as how to schedule and run class meetings.

Teams Meetings

Microsoft Teams includes a synchronous meeting platform that is very similar to Webex, but includes some features of particular interest to instructors who regularly record their meetings to share with students.  We will demonstrate the tools for scheduling, running, and recording Microsoft Teams Meetings. We will also compare the platform to Webex and discuss similarities and differences between the two meeting systems. To register for this session, follow this Teams Registration Link.

To register for courses via Webex:

  1. Go to webex.com and sign in.
  2. Click on the Search Bar at the top of the page and enter the name of the session you would like to attend. Click Show More Results to see all listings. You can also search by date.
  3. Click the name of the session you want to attend and then click Register.
  4. Complete the registration.
  5. You will receive an email confirmation after you have registered with the link you will use to join the session.
