With the approach of Tropical Storm Gordon, administrators at Northwestern State University will continue to monitor weather conditions. Tropical Storm Gordon is expected to make landfall Tuesday evening near the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and forecasts show the storm to take a northwestern path through Mississippi and Louisiana into Arkansas. This could result in heavy rains, flash flooding and high winds.

At this time, all university operations will continue as scheduled. Any changes will be announced on this website, on social media and through Purple Alert.

The safety of the Northwestern community is our highest priority. We encourage everyone to exercise caution and wisdom during this event.
