NSU will transition to online classes as pandemic continues

In response to the ongoing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, Northwestern State University will suspend all in-person classes effective at the end of the day Friday, March 13, and transition to online instruction and other remote learning alternatives beginning Thursday, March 19.

Open House postponed

Northwestern State University First Lady Jennifer Maggio announced that the open house planned at the Dr. Arnold R. Kilpatrick President’s Home, set for Friday, March 13, has been postponed.

Memorial service honoring James Louis Evans Jr. set for Friday

NATCHITOCHES – The Northwestern State University community will honor the life of James Louis Evans Jr., formerly of Chalmette, who passed away Feb. 25.  A service will take place at noon Friday, March 13 in Orville Hanchey Gallery.  All students, faculty, staff and friends are invited to attend.

Northwestern State to offer two new certificate programs

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University has received approval from the Louisiana Board of Regents to offer two undergraduate certificates, one in business analytics and one in leadership studies.
