Excel: Organizing Your Data

Have data in Excel that is overwhelming? Learn how to organize your data so it can be more manageable. Topics include: importing data from other Excel files and other file types such as CSV and TXT files, text to columns, removing duplication, sorting and custom sorting by multiple columns, filtering, creating subtotals, and copying/moving worksheets within and out of a workbook.

Course Design Best Practices

In this one-hour workshop, you will be presented with an overview of course design best practices. We will briefly discuss the main principles outlined in the Quality Matters rubric that, if followed, will ensure the best experience for online students. We will also introduce you to our other, more detailed workshops that explore specific standards.

Microsoft Forms

Microsoft Forms is the survey creation tool in Office365. Feedback forms can be valuable for increasing engagement as well as gathering feedback. Join us in this workshop to see how you can create both standard feedback forms as well as quizzes with right and wrong answers. We will also demonstrate how forms can be linked or embedded in courses, documents, and more.

Microsoft Bookings

Microsoft Bookings is a tool that connects with your Outlook calendar, Teams, or Webex to allow individuals to schedule appointments with you during selected timeframes. Learn how to set up your Bookings application and to share the link so that others may connect with you.

To register for courses via Webex:

  1. Go to webex.com and sign in.
  2. Click on the Search Bar at the top of the page and enter the name of the session you would like to attend. Click Show More Results to see all listings. You can also search by date.
  3. Click the name of the session you want to attend and then click Register.
  4. Complete the registration.
  5. You will receive an email confirmation after you have registered with the link you will use to join the session.
