Lasyone’s Meat Pie Kitchen will serve Crawfish Meatpies and La Casa Del Taco will serve Seafood Empanadas and Caribbean Jerk Tacos at Flavor of Louisiana, Northwestern State University’s spring seafood celebration. The two popular Natchitoches vendors will be among dozens of chefs and restaurateurs serving Louisiana seafood dishes offering samplings of Louisiana seafood dishes, along with craft beers and specialty cocktails, options for guests who don’t eat seafood, coffee, desserts, raffles, music and more. The NSU Foundation thanks Ameriprise Financial of Shreveport, a Louisiana ($5,000) sponsor, and Harvey Marcus, a Bayou ($2,500) sponsor, for their support of the event.  Ameriprise provides financial planning, asset management and insurance services to individuals, businesses and institutions. Marcus is a member of the NSU’s alumni hall of distinction, the Long Purple Line, and a board member of the NSU Foundation.
