Managing Your Gradebook, Finals Edition

We have reached the end of the semester and you need your gradebook ready for the end. Learn how to make sure your gradebook is calculating your final grades correctly and be able to export a copy when your grades are finished.

WebEx Personal Room
Wednesday, May 2nd, 9 – 10 am
Your WebEx Personal Room is a valuable tool for engaging with online students. In this workshop, we will cover how to open and run your personal room both as a one-on-one meeting option as well as an open office for online classes. We will also be highlighting some unique features of the room that are different from the standard training sessions.

New! PowerPoint Recording
Thursday, May 3rd, 2 -3 pm
Thursday, May 10th, 9 – 10 am

PowerPoint has now integrated most of the features of Office Mix into a new Recording Tab that allows you to add video and interactive content, such as quiz questions or web sites, to any PowerPoint presentation. In this workshop, we will demonstrate the features of PowerPoint Recording, and discuss how to share your presentations with your students.

Accessibility in the Online Course
Tuesday, May 8th, 2 – 3 pm
Wednesday, May 23rd, 9 – 10 am

Creating courses with accessibility in mind prevents urgent adjustments when a student who needs accessible resources enrolls in your class. Topics covered include: closed captions, transcripts, and screen readable content. In this workshop, we will cover techniques for building a course with accessibility in mind.

Excel Basics

This workshop is an introduction to Excel components. Learn about creating and navigating worksheets, entering text, dates and numbers, selecting cells, entering formulas, and much more.

Finding & Creating Educational Video
Wednesday, May 16th, 2 – 3 pm
In this workshop, we will present best practices for choosing and creating video resources and implementing them in your course. We will also cover how to ensure that your video content is ADA compliant.

Moodle Troubleshooters
Thursday, May 31st, 10 – 11 am
Ever had a question about how to do something in Moodle but were afraid to ask? Can’t figure how to do something in Moodle? This workshop is here for you. This workshop is for people to bring in questions and curiosities about Moodle and have them answered with detail and demonstration. No outline, nothing planned. Just one hour for you to get those bothering Moodle questions answered.

3. Click on the “Upcoming” tab
4. You will see a list of the sessions with the date and times, click on “Register” next to the one you would like to attend
5. Complete the registration

You will receive an email confirmation after you have registered with the link you will use to join the session. To cancel your registration, click the link at the bottom of the registration email.
