New! Sharing Content in Moodle
Tuesday, November 6th, 10 – 11 am
Wednesday, November 14th, 10 – 11 am

In this workshop, we will demonstrate how to link and share videos and files stored in VIC, Microsoft Stream, and OneDrive to your Moodle Courses. We will show you how to share content effectively and efficiently in your courses.

WebEx Training Center
Tuesday, November 6th, 2 – 3 pm
Learn the basics of participating and hosting a WebEx training session for class meetings. We will also cover how to schedule a training session, and where to access the reports generated by WebEx.

New! Communicating in Moodle
Wednesday, November 7th, 10 – 11 am
In this workshop, we will demonstrate how to use various forms of communication (forums, announcements, and QuickMail) and when to use them. This will help you incorporate student interaction within your courses.

New! Flipgrid
Tuesday, November 13th, 2 – 3 pm
Are you looking for a new tool to help engage your learners in class? Flipgrid is an online discussion forum application, free to educators, that allows students to record video responses to discussion prompts. These video discussions can be embedded within your Moodle class and offer an alternative to written discussion posts. Join us as we demonstrate how to set up Grids and share them in Moodle course shells. For more information about FlipGrid and to view a sample Grid, refer to the July 2018 Tech Toolbox.

New! Accessible Video Content

This workshop provides you with the tools to ensure that your videos are accessible to all students. Caption videos through Stream and VIC, and learn what to look for when adding third party videos to your courses.

Managing Your Gradebook, Finals Edition
Wednesday, November 28th, 2 – 3 pm
Thursday, November 29th, 2 – 3 pm

We have reached the end of the semester and you need your gradebook ready for the end. Learn how to make sure your gradebook is calculating your final grades correctly and be able to export a copy when your grades are finished.

PowerPoint Recording
Thursday, November 29th, 10 – 11 am
Would you like an easy (and free) tool to make your lecture presentations more engaging to your students? PowerPoint is now equipped with valuable tools to record lectures, and add video and interactive content, such as quiz questions or web sites, to any presentation. In this workshop, we will demonstrate how to record using PowerPoint.

To register for courses via WebEx:
1. Go to nsula.webex.com
2. Click on “Training Center”
3. Click on the “Upcoming” tab
4. You will see a list of the sessions with the date and times, click on “Register” next to the one you would like to attend
5. Complete the registration

You will receive an email confirmation after you have registered with the link you will use to join the session. To cancel your registration, click the link at the bottom of the registration email.
