NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University will honor the Class of 1974 during the class’s Golden Jubilee celebration May 9-10.  The program will include the presentation of 50-year diplomas, receptions and other events to honor the class and graduates from prevous years.

Check-in will begin 8 a.m. Thursday, May 9 in the President’s Room of the Sylvan Friedman Student Union.  Class members will dress in caps and gowns to attend 10 a.m. commencement ceremonies in Prather Coliseum where they will be recognized. The Class of 1974 golden Jubilee Commencement Ceremony will be at noon in the coliseum, followed by a luncheon in the Lucile Hendrick Room on the first floor of the Student Union.

Class members will have an opportunity to tour campus and visit with friends from 2-3:30 p.m., reconvening at 6:30 p.m. for a reception in Orville Hanchey Gallery.

The 50+ lunch for all NSU graduates from 1974 and from prior years will begin at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 10 in the Student Union Ballroom.

Ticket are $80 per graduate and $65 per additional guest(s).
