NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s School of Business will host a QuickBooks Training session at its Cenla Campus in Alexandria on Thursday, Oct. 24. There will be a morning and an afternoon session for a total of six hours of training at NSU Cenla Campus Room 261.  The Cenla Campus is located within the England Industrial Airpark and Community, 1420 Neal Kirby Drive, Alexandria.

 

Each session is $25.  Classes are limited to 20 seats per session.  There will be time for questions at the end of each session.

 

The morning session will be from 9 a.m.-noon and will address setting up a company file in which participants learn about setting up a company file, miscellaneous features and apps that work with QuickBooks, sales and receipts and inventory.

 

The afternoon session will be from 1-4 p.m. and will help participants learn about bills, sales tax, payroll and reports.

 

Instructors will be Dona Manuel, CPA, and Stephanie Lemoine, CPA, of Knight Masden, a professional accounting corporation in Alexandria.  Manuel and Lemoine are donating their time to conduct the training as a fund raiser for the School of Business’s Director’s Fund.

Participants can also register by emailing Dr. Carmella Parker at parkerc@nsula.edu and bringing payment to the event.  Checks should be made payable to the NSU Foundation with memo to school of Business Director’s Fund ACCT-QB.
