Measurable Objectives in an Online Course

Clear learning objectives provide a foundation for a quality course. In this interactive workshop, you will revise or create measureable objectives that provide a roadmap for your activities and assessments.

WebEx Personal Room
Thursday, September 6th, 9 – 10 am
Thursday, September 20th, 2- 3 pm

Your WebEx Personal Room is a valuable tool for engaging with online students. In this workshop, we will cover how to open and run your personal room both as a one-on-one meeting option as well as an open office for online classes. We will also be highlighting some unique features of the room that are different from the standard training sessions.

New! Accessible Documents
Tuesday, September 11th, 9 – 10
Tuesday, September 25th, 2 – 3 pm

Join us in this workshop to learn how to create accessible documents in Word and Adobe Acrobat. We will also cover accessible elements within Moodle. In order to meet quality standards, all documents in online courses need to meet ADA requirements. Creating courses with accessibility in mind prevents urgent adjustments later.

Moodle Basics
Tuesday, September 11th, 10 am – Noon

In this workshop, we will cover the breadth of available options within the LMS and demonstrate the basic tools needed for implementing a Moodle course.

Excel Basics
Thursday, September 13th, 10 – 11:30 am

This workshop is an introduction to Excel components. Learn about creating and navigating worksheets, entering text, dates and numbers, selecting cells, entering formulas, and much more.

Creating Quizzes in Moodle
Tuesday, September 18th, 10 – 11:30 am

This workshop will demonstrate how to create quizzes using the features within Moodle 3.

Adobe Acrobat Basics
Wednesday, September 19th, 2 – 3 pm

PDF files are very common, and Adobe Acrobat is the program most commonly used to process these files. In this workshop, we will cover basic navigation, tools and accessibility within Adobe Acrobat.

Managing Your Gradebook
Tuesday, September 25th, 10 – 11 am

This workshop will cover the tools and techniques to maintain your Gradebook in Moodle 3 effectively.

New! Stream
Thursday, September 27th, 9 – 10 am
Stream is the new video library system through Office365. In this workshop, we will cover uploading, sharing, and closed captioning through Stream.

To register for courses via WebEx:
1. Go to nsula.webex.com
2. Click on “Training Center”
3. Click on the “Upcoming” tab
4. You will see a list of the sessions with the date and times, click on “Register” next to the one you would like to attend
5. Complete the registration

You will receive an email confirmation after you have registered with the link you will use to join the session. To cancel your registration, click the link at the bottom of the registration email.
