Scholars’ Alum Self Wins First Prize
Winners of the prestigious international Search for New Musicals were announced Nov. 15, 2021, at New Musicals Inc. in Los Angeles. First prize went to “The Foursight Saga” with book by Wayne Self, lyrics by Wayne Self and Scott Wilkinson, and music by Scott Wilkinson.

On Tuesday, November 10, 2020, two Scholars’ College seniors presented at the 13th Annual Fall Undergraduate Research Invitational virtual fall 2020 conference hosted by the Honors College at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Parham named to NSU Homecoming Honor Court
Congratulations to Scholars’ own Nicholas Parham (’21) for being named to the NSU Homecoming Honor Court. Nicholas is a psychology major, from Frierson, LA. After graduation, he plans to continue his education through a doctorate program in social psychology and neuroscience.
Scholars’ College will host virtual preview day
NATCHITOCHES – The Louisiana Scholars’ College at Northwestern State University will host Virtual Scholars’ Day from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, April 30. Participants will be able to participate in a Scholars’ College class, explore options on majors, take a virtual tour, chat with professors and ask questions about scholarships and financial aid.

Jensen mentors Dutch graduate student
Richard Jensen, Louisiana Scholars College (retired), participated in the defense and graduation ceremonies of his Dutch graduate student Wouter Klem at the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands, on Feb. 10.
