About

Northwestern State University’s Office of Economic Development, Innovation, and Outreach is comprised of Student Technology, Electronic and Continuing Education, the Office of Sponsored Programs, NSU@Barksdale, NSU@Marksville, NSU@BPCC, and the CENLA and Leesville/Ft.Polk campuses. We think of education, innovation, and technology more broadly and from a variety of perspectives so that more people can benefit and have a greater quality of life.

Our goal is to stimulate innovation and the creation of intellectual property in support of the University’s mission: to be a responsive, student-oriented institution that is committed to the creation, dissemination, and acquisition of knowledge through teaching, research, and service. We consider Northwestern State University to be a state resource and an engine for economic growth and possibility.
