Hundreds of Northwestern State University students, faculty and staff mingled in and around the WRAC Wednesday for a campus Wellness Fest, a collaborative initiative between Student Affairs, the College of Nursing and School of Allied Health and the WRAC. With dozens of health-related vendors and booths manned by student and staff volunteers and several community partners, the Wellness Fest included a variety of health screenings, a blood drive, aqua massage, chiropractic adjustments, cooking and nutrition demonstrations, a free salad bar and information on nutrition, fitness and mental health, along with swag bags, prizes and giveaways.

Dozens of NSU Nursing students and faculty helped with screenings and disseminating information at the NSU Wellness Fest Wednesday as NSU’s College of Nursing and School of Allied Health joined Student Affairs and the WRAC in hosting the event. Organizers said they received positive feedback on the variety of stations, cooking demonstrations and information tables.
