IncludED is a partnership between NSU and the NSU Campus Store that allows you to rent or purchase textbooks at a reduced cost. The charge is posted directly to your MyNSU Tuition and Fees bill and can be paid along with your University charges or using financial aid.

Save money

We’ve found an even better way for NSU students to save money and succeed from the very first day of class. With digital textbooks and materials through IncludED, you’ll get instant access, carry a lighter backpack, and save an average of 62% or more over printed books.

What is the IncludED textbook program?2019-08-01T10:15:01-06:00

IncludED is a partnership between NSU and the NSU Campus Store that allows you to rent or purchase textbooks at a reduced cost. The charge is posted directly to your MyNSU Tuition and Fees bill and can be paid along with your University charges or using financial aid.

What is the benefit of participating in the program?2019-12-17T11:29:55-06:00

The goals of this program are to improve textbook affordability, and to improve your success in class. Participating in this program will bring deeply discounted prices on your textbooks, the required course materials, and the ability to access your textbooks on or before the first day of class.

Studies show students who don’t have their required course materials on the first day of class may be at a disadvantage. We want all Demons playing on the same field, so we’re offering more affordable digital materials you can access immediately.

How do I access my materials?2021-09-02T06:39:36-06:00

If the course is offered through IncludED, you’ll receive an email from the NSU Campus Store the week before classes begin. This email will have a subject line of “Activate Your Digital Content,” which will contain an activation link, or “Your Digital Books Have Arrived,” which will contain an access code.

If your email contains an access code, login to your course in Moodle and follow your instructors’ directions to register your code.

Accessing through Follett Discover Access?
A student can also get to the bookshelf by clicking the link in Follett Discover Access for BryteWave which is located after login into your NSU account. This link acts just like the LTI link and will pass that student into their BryteWave Shelf.

Accessing through the course in the campus Learning Management System (LMS)?
If the professor has added the RedShelf BryteWave link in their LMS, then that link will send the student into their BryteWave account / shelf. The student’s books will be on their shelf.

If they haven’t created an account at this time, they would need to complete their BryteWave account setup. See your faculty member if the link is not showing.

Accessing through an auto-provision email?
BrtyeWave (RedShelf) will be provisioned to the student’s academic email address. This will create an account for the student that they can log into on the BryteWave login and find the preloaded material.

The login URL for BryteWave is now located at: https://brytewave.redshelf.com/

While they can get in at the URL, they may have to request a password change if they don’t follow the activation link that was emailed to them. So, all ACCESS provisioned students will receive an email that looks like this sample (or advance to last page for image). If the student clicks the link in the email, it will pass them into their BryteWave shelf (which is the same as if they logged in at the login URL) and will be able to complete an account set up. (set password, etc.)

If your course requires courseware/homework solutions (also known as access codes), login into Moodle and follow your instructors instructions. No code is needed but you do need to use your NSULA.EDU email for accessing the material.

How do I know if my books are provided by IncludED?2021-05-19T15:05:45-06:00

You’ll receive an email from the NSU Campus Store with login information if you are enrolled in a course that is IncludED.  For the Fall 2021 semester, NSU is utilizing this program for ALL courses.

What will the charge look like on my MyNSU bill?2019-08-01T10:21:39-06:00

A charge will appear on your MyNSU bill for the NSU Campus Store – IncludED.  The charge will appear under the description of your bill. You can pay through the MyNSU portal, or Student Accounting website, or allow it to be covered by your financial aid when it disperses.

What happens if I drop a course?2021-05-19T15:06:38-06:00

If you drop a course before the end of the University drop/add period (Fall 2021/August 25), your charge will be removed and your access to the course materials will be revoked. If you drop or withdraw after the initial drop/add period, the student is responsible for ALL fees associated with the dropped course.

If you had a physical book and you picked up the book – you need to return it back to the bookstore by the add/drop period to avoid being charged for the materials.
