Students choose a degree in business administration because they want to make difference resulting in innovation and impact on the world. The demand for business students is high and they are the first choice for companies with their vast exposure to communication, leadership and pursuit of excellence. Graduates from the program work nationally and internationally with highly transferable skills.

The business administration program at NSU allows the student to maximize flexibility in determining one’s academic curriculum. One may choose from a variety of upper-level electives to accentuate studies in business analytics, finance, marketing, management, entrepreneurship, international business or any combination of these areas.

Within the Business Administration degree plan, students may choose a concentration of 23 hours of 3000-4000 upper-level Business electives in one of the following areas: Business Analytics, Finance, Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, International Business, eSports Management or Human Resource Management.

The business administration curriculum is also ideal to prepare students for the rigors of law school. Legal topics such as Employment Law, Constitutional Law, and Anti-trust, help students make better employment and managerial decisions.

Students interested in careers in insurance, real estate, or financial institutions may select a concentration in Finance taking pre-licensing courses for a Property & Casualty insurance license (Finance 3130); Life, Health, and Accident insurance license (Finance 3320); Real Estate license (Finance 3150 and Finance 3160). These pre-licensing courses are available for all majors.

One of the many opportunities for the students is the Inferno Pitch which gives students an opportunity to work with angel investors to learn how to open and succeed in business. The top students win cash prizes. It is a great way for students to understand the business process and develop a competitive spirit which is required in the world of business.
