NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Chamber Choir, Lyrica and Men’s Chorus will present a preview concert on Tuesday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Magale Recital Hall. Admission is free and open to the public. Those attending are asked to follow university regulations and to wear a mask at all times in the building. A livestream will be available at capa.nsula.edu/livestream.

Director of Choral Activities Dr. Nicholaus Cummins said this is the first live choral concert at NSU since December 2019. He said the 30-minute program is an opportunity for the choirs to preview some of the repertoire they are working on this semester and begin the choral fall fundraiser.  NSU choirs are raffling a new iPad and an Amazon gift card to raise money that would go toward the choir’s travel fund for its next trip overseas.  Last year, NSU choirs raised $1,600 that helped the Chamber Choir take part in the Leonardo Da Vinci International Choral Festival online competition in Italy in which they finished second in the mixed choirs category.
