Welcome to the Health and Human Performance Department at Northwestern State University in historical Natchitoches, Louisiana!

We offer a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science with concentrations in pre-physical therapy, occupational therapy, or physician’s assistant; a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education in K-12 Teaching, and a Master of Science degree in either Public Health (100% online) or Sport Administration (100% online or face-to-face). We also provide students with an internship experience during the last semester which is accompanied with a seminar and career counseling. Many of our students gain employment from their internship sites. Our faculty are dedicated to student success.
