NATCHITOCHES –The Northwestern State University Jazz Orchestra will perform on Monday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Magale Recital Hall. Attendance is limited to 72 NSU faculty, students and staff. Social distancing and masks are required. The event will be livestreamed at capa.nsula.edu/livestream.

The program will include “Time Check” by Don Menza featuring Daniel Scott on tenor saxophone, “The Queen Bee” by Sammy Nestico with featuring Mario Orellana on piano and Scott, “Time for a Change” Hank Levy with Henry Pineda on drum set and Scott and “Portrait of Louis Armstrong” by Duke Ellington featuring Luis Cervantes on trumpet.

The Jazz Orchestra will also play “Moanin’” by Charles Mingus featuring Sebastian Oviedo on baritone saxophone and Jackson Forester on drum set, “Europa” by Carlos Santana and Tom Coster and arranged by Joe Mannozzi featuring Breeana Raygoza and Scott on tenor saxophone and Oviedo, “Generoso” by Rick Faulkner with Michael King on trombone and Mario Orellana on piano.
