NSU hosts RC&S3 competition for area middle schools

NASA Day will wrap up ASTRO Robotics Camp

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Department of Engineering Technology will host a NASA Day from 9 a.m.-noon Friday, June 10 as part of the STEM ASTRO Robotics Camp. The event includes educational activities on how astronauts live and work in space. Participants will also participate in EVA simulation activity that will allow them to mimic tasks astronauts complete on the ISS.

ET Professor Hossain earns robotics certifications

NATCHITOCHES – Dr. Shahriar Hossain, assistant professor in the Department of Engineering Technology at Northwestern State University, earned two robotics certifications offered by FANUC America, a leading supplier of robots, CNC systems and factory automation.

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University has partnered with the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA) to present three upcoming virtual summer camps for junior high students entering grades 6-8 and high school students entering grades 9-12 this fall. Northwestern State University’s Department of Engineering Technology will host ASTRO STEM Robotics Camp this summer. The Virtual Astro Camp will take place June 14-18 and will be conducted remotely with synchronous and asynchronous activities and for children ages 8-14.

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Department of Engineering Technology will host its annual STEM Robotics Camp virtually.  The Robotics Camp will take place from 9 a.m.-noon June 24-26.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the camp will be conducted remotely for children ages 8-14.
