NATCHITOCHES – The Northwestern State University Trumpet Ensemble and Northwestern State University Euphonium-Tuba Ensemble will present a concert on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Magale Recital Hall. Admission is free and open to the public. A livestream will be available at capa.nsula.edu/livestream. Galindo Rodriguez will conduct the Trumpet Ensemble. Dr. Masahito Kuroda will conduct the Euphonium-Tuba Ensemble.

The Trumpet Ensemble will play “Canzon Septimi Toni a 8 No. 1,” from “Sacrae Symphoniae” by Giovanni Gabrieli and arranged by David Brown, “Misty” by Erroll Garner and arranged by David Brown featuring Dillon Humphries and Josh Monaghan on flugelhorn and Ivan Lorduy Camargo on trumpet and “Bugler’s Holiday” by Leroy Anderson and arranged by Charles Metzger.

Members of the Trumpet Ensemble are Ted Scott, Monaghan, Camargo, Jack Stanley, Juan Padilla, Griffin Lowe, Sadoc S. Calderon, George McKinnerney, Konnor Thibodeaux, Blake Taggert, Humphries and Juan Arrietta

The Euphonium-Tuba Ensemble will play “Misty Mountains Cold” from “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” by David Donaldson, David Long, Steve Roche and Janet Roddick and arranged by Scott Sutherland, “Spring” from “The Four Seasons” by Antonio Vivaldi, arranged by Frank J. Halferty, “Mars – The Bringer of War” from “The Planets” by Gustav Holst, arranged by David Butler.

Members of the Euphonium-Tuba Ensemble are Jake English (graduate assistant), Emily Murphy, Remi Blanchard, Austin Head, Dr. John Dunn, Jose Del Rio, Jordan Elliott, Matthew Thompson, Reon Bell, Solon Burris, Matthew Fussell, Dalton Wade, Cyrus Blount, William Self, Joseph Dubois on euphonium. Playing tuba are Taylor Carrell, Matthew Spencer, Barrett Hodgson, Wesley Clark, Caleb Santora, Tyler Fields, Kurt Brennan, Jacob Webb, Ethan Maynard, Tyler Fields and Hank Castilaw.
