M.Ed. in curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Transition to Teaching (504I)
The Master of Education (M.Ed.) program in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Transition to Teach is designed for elementary, middle or secondary teachers who have successfully completed Northwestern State University’s alternate certification program (PREP). Candidates have earned their Louisiana licensure and now desire to earn a Masters of Education (M.Ed.) degree. This program enhances their instructional expertise as well as continues their growth as an educator.
Prerequisites for this program include successful completion of the NSU PREP program, a valid teaching license as well as admission to the graduate school.
Degree requirements for this program and concentration include 12 hours of foundation coursework; 12 hours of support and application coursework; and 12 hours of concentration coursework (completed during PREP).
