Northwestern State University extends our sincerest support for you during this difficult time.  If you are a displaced student and located in the vicinity of one of NSU’s campuses in Natchitoches, Shreveport, Leesville, or Alexandria, we want to extend services to you.  You will find a list of services available below.

In order to log in to the university’s computers or Wi-Fi network, you will need a user account. This account is being created based on the information you provide to the University of Louisiana System using their contact form. If you have not filled out this form, please visit the ULS site. Once the information is received by Northwestern, your account will be created and login information will be communicated to you via email. Your account should be active within one business day.

The university has 42 open student computer labs. Your access will make it possible for you to visit a lab that is nearest to your location.

NSU provides an extensive wireless network throughout the Natchitoches, Shreveport, Leesville, and Alexandria campuses. For a list of system requirements and setup instructions please visit the ITS Support Services website – under “Getting Connected.”

Please contact the Testing and Proctoring Center, located in Watson Library room 115, for assistance with proctored exams.

Health services provides a convenient, high quality and professional health care in a clinic setting addressing physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.

Visit room 305 in the Freidman Student Union Building or call 357-5621 to speak to a counseling professional. Telehealth counseling services are also offered to students via WebEx, Zoom, and FaceTime.
The NSU Wellness, Recreation, Activity Center (WRAC) provides a healthy and motivating environment where you can enjoy the many fitness, leisure, competition, and wellness programs available.  The 88,000 square foot facility is one of the premier recreational facilities in Louisiana.

Please ensure that your McNeese parking permit is displayed. If you need a temporary parking pass, please visit campus police. Bring your Driver’s License and McNeese Identification.

The Northwestern State University Robert W. Wilson Recreation Complex is a unique facility that provides students with a “country club” atmosphere focused entirely on fun and relaxation.

You are entitled to use the Complex simply by presenting your current identification card and, if playing golf, paying a small green fee.
