Welcome to the Louisiana Scholars’ College!

Established by the Louisiana Board of Regents for Higher Education in 1987, the Louisiana Scholars’ College serves as the state’s selective-admission honors college of the liberal arts and sciences. Its mission is to provide highly motivated students with a rigorous, customized honors education firmly grounded in the liberal arts and sciences.

Students may pursue a traditional major or an interdisciplinary concentration in Classical Studies; Fine and Performing Arts; Foreign Languages; Humanities and Social Thought; Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, or Scientific Inquiry.

The Scholars’ College offers small classes, a close-knit community, and supportive faculty who are committed to student success. Most of our classes are seminars in which ideas are exchanged in an open and supportive environment. There are also opportunities for internships, undergraduate research, and study abroad.
