Scholars’ Day (Saturday, October 28)

Scholars’ Day is a great opportunity to learn more about the state’s designated honors college, the Scholars’ College. You will meet other students who share your interest in a honors education. You will be able to attend classes, explore our majors, meet our faculty, attend a parent and student panel, tour the campus, and get all of your questions answered about the Scholars’ College.

During Scholars’ Day you can:

  • participate in a Q&A session with faculty, students, and administrators
  • view campus & residence hall
  • tour historic Natchitoches
  • visit the campus bookstore
  • dine with LSC faculty & students
  • attend a Financial Aid & Scholarship session
  • participate in a Scholars’ College class
  • explore major options at the Academic Browse
  • ask questions during the student panel

Tentative Schedule
8:30am Registration & Check-In – Kyser Brickway
8:30-9:30am Academic & Campus-Wide Organization Browse/Refreshments – Kyser Brickway
9:30-10:00am Welcome & Introduction of the President – LISN Studio in Kyser Hall
10:00 – 11:00am Scholars’ College Class for Students and Parent Panel – Morrison Hall (Scholars’ College)
11:00am – 12:00pm Student Roundtables and Parent Tour of Natchitoches – Morrison Hall (Scholars’ College)
12:15 – 1:15pm Lunch – Vic’s Diner in the Student Union ($10/person)
1:00 – 1:15pm Financial Aid & Scholarship Information
1:30 – 2:30pm Tour of the Campus & University Place
