Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate Program

Enrolling in an Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate Program will prepare child care teachers to earn their Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, as well as provide practice experiences, including coaching, mentoring, and additional preparation for CLASS® observations. Lead Teachers who have not already met Ancillary Certificate requirements will be given priority for admission into the programs and for scholarships.

There are currently eleven approved Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate Programs, it is expected additional programs will begin in spring 2018. Once you select 1 of the approved programs, they will provide you with the Louisiana Pathways Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate Program Scholarship application. You will submit class enrollment and scholarship information back to your chosen program and they will submit it to Pathways on your behalf.

The following teacher preparation programs have been approved by the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) to offer coursework as an approved Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate Program.
